Extending your reach to providers

Do more with your dollars.

"Part of our success in accomplishing CDC site visit goals is having a contractor—TMF—focus solely on VFC and AFIX visits."

-Cherry Boardman, RN, MSN
Vaccine Center Manager
Arizona Immunization Program Office

Achieving the quantity and quality of site visits needed for good oversight is a constant balancing act for Vaccines for Children program managers. With limited resources and a serious need for provider education and data collection, most program managers wish they had a better way to get the job done. TMF Health Quality Institute offers affordable solutions to help any VFC program extend its reach to providers and do more with program resources.

  • More providers – TMF conducts your site visits, allowing you more time to focus on other priorities, such as flu season activities and provider recruitment and follow-up.
  • More visits – We’ll help you visit more providers regularly to promote better immunization practices and accomplish CDC site visit goals.
  • More feedback and education – TMF strives to improve immunization practices through open feedback and communication with providers, one-on-one interventions and reminder/recall training.
  • More useful data – TMF has spent the last three years beta testing the CDC’s CoCASA software. You can rely on our expert knowledge of CoCASA and other custom survey tools to aid you in accurate and consistent data collection and reporting, while receiving analysis of data that exceeds CDC reporting requirements.
  • More value – Our streamlined processes help you increase site visits for the dollars available without sacrificing the quality of your immunization program.

Services

TMF specializes in VFC project management. We take the time to learn your systems and work with you to customize activities to your structure, process, goals and resources.

Our internally designed administration system can report the status of any site visit, including assignment to a field reviewer, scheduling, visit confirmation and receipt of the report from the field reviewer. The system can submit the report to the VFC program and provide summary and analysis for internal use and CDC reporting.

TMF’s consultants, project managers, computer programmers and support staff have direct experience planning and implementing immunization projects. We bring to your program extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance issues, quality improvement practices and strategies for developing and conducting professional education programs. Our field reviewers are contracted locally to ensure they are familiar with your state’s providers and invested in your immunization program, and they are equipped to provide the most accurate and current information to your providers.

Clients

"The site visit process conducted by TMF enabled us to capture practice-specific immunization rates, allowing us to focus on areas of needed improvement. Feedback from the review process has resulted in big payoffs—our overall immunization rate for 2004 was 98 percent higher than in past years. As a physician network of 214 pediatricians—including 81 primary care physicians and 40 community clinics—this is quite an accomplishment."
